Virtual CD Server - Axonix System Prerequisites
A Windows 9x/NT computer for system administration. Ethernet patch cable to attach the Virtual Server to the network. Physical Connection
The Virtual CD Server is a "plug-and share" mixed drive direct network-attached storage device, with embedded multi-protocol software. Industry standard communication protocols for Novell (NCP), Microsoft Networks (SMB), and Web browsers (HTTP) are used to access the Virtual CD Server. The unit's standard configuration is for a 10/100BaseTX Ethernet network, and is based on a FAT16 file system, which requires the "8.3" naming convention (8-character maximum file name, 3-character maximum extension) for all volumes mounted on the Virtual CD Server. Administration of the unit is done using the CDVision Administrator program. The program runs under Windows 9x/NT.
