Uninstall Virtual CD-ROM
Occasionally the Virtual CD-ROM software Uninstall procedure does not completely remove the program from the Windows95 Registry. The following steps will insure that all traces of the software are purged from the system.

  1. In the Virtual CD-ROM software window make sure that there are no Virtual CDs in any Virtual Drive Bays. Each bay should read "No Disc in Drive", or have no text next to the drive bay letter. Close the program window.
  2. From the Program menu select Virtual CD-ROM, and then Uninstall Virtual CD-ROM. The uninstall shield will open, and the uninstall procedure will run. When it is finished click on OK.
  3. Click on Start, then select Run. Enter Regedit in the field, and click on OK. The Registry Editor will open.
  4. Double-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  5. Double-click on Enum.
  6. Double-click on EDSI.
  7. If there is a listing for VIRTUAL_CD-ROM_DRIVE highlight it. Then click on Edit and select Delete from the menu. Click on Yes to confirm the deletion. Close the Registry Editor.
  8. Reboot the computer.
